Yummy, Refreshing, Ice Cream Packaging

Summer is in full swing, and what better way to celebrate is a refreshing, sweet ice cream treat, complete with some fun packaging.

Food industry packaging is a little bit different from others, because with food packaging, you absolutely need quality, and it’s a huge part of it.  you also need to make sure that you also give a product that tastes good, and also looks good.

Ice cream is a product with a lot of different producers, and a ton of them tend to be artisanal, and a lot are also very tasty, and fresh.  The problem with this is the competitiveness of this. How does one convince the customers here to buy the product that you have, rather than a competitor? The answer lies in the packaging, as this is a weapon that’s tasty, and perfect for sales and other phases.

Products, their freshness, and even different flavors, are right near the main heart of these solutions that we see. Whether they’re simplistic boxes for ice cream with different illustrations, or even lettering that’s creative, or just minimalistic, effective packaging, there are a lot of different ways for you to do this. the right type of ice cream packaging is one that sells this, and ideally, is also good for the environment too.

Some of them are also looking to create paper packaging too. This is because it’s eco friendly, and fun.

How Can I Design My Ice Cream Packaging?

Well, it all depends.  If you’re someone who likes to keep things minimal, you can do this. you can have the name of the product, a logo, or even just pictures of ice cream trucks, stands, or the ice cream itself.

Then, by adding as a final touch, a little pattern and design at the very top to border the image.  Simple, easy, and fun to look at.

Another thing that a lot of people like to also do is fun graphics and lettering. Some of them like to have it in black and white, with the designs and words all over it in this packaging.  To add to this, the ice creams are packaged individually, creating a fun, unique image, and providing the packaging with the perfect way to stay fresh.

Yollibox is another one that does give a great packaging idea, especially for their frozen yogurt.  They have a simple white container with a giant piece of fruit, the color of the fruit as the typeface bordered by the white.  This is a good way to make simple, distinct packaging, and with the paper sleeves and the ice cream inside, it provides you with a fun, eco smart container that really stands out.

Fifty Licks takes things in a different type of way.  They package ice cream in little paper containers that are cubic shaped. On the front is the name of their brand, with a gray background and a variety of colors, each of which correspond to the different flavors of ice cream.  The sides of the box are all in white, with a darker typeface so that people can read this.

Finally, popsicle packaging. These work well with a paper box, individually wrapped in a paper packaging, and then, on the very front, you can design it with a person holding and eating the sweet treat that they enjoy.

At the end of the day, there are a lot of different packaging incentives for a person to have, and a lot that people will benefit from. If you’re looking to get the most out of your ice cream packaging, now’s the time!

Make Candy Raise Community Support

Schools want to purchase playground swings. Churches have plans to gather non-perishable food items for their local communities. Youth teams require assistance to fund their upcoming travel. While all of these organizations would be able to sell sweets, loose candies may appear disorganized and create uncertainty regarding pricing. Candy boxes provide an organization with a straightforward method of transforming individual purchases (of relatively inexpensive treats) into a product consumers can feel positive about purchasing.

Volunteers and families gather to sell pre-priced candy boxes supporting local youth programs.

Step #1: Identify Your Goal: Clearly identify what you wish to accomplish from your candy box fundraiser. The greater clarity there is regarding the ultimate destination of the funds collected, the more inclined potential donors will be to contribute. An example statement identifying your goal could be “the funds we collect go toward the purchase of books for our library,” “the monies raised go toward providing meals for individuals at risk of hunger within our community,” or “the funds collected go toward paying for athletic equipment/sports fees.” Write this statement on the box and include the name of your organization.

This allows potential contributors to clearly recognize both the purpose behind the purchase and the organization making the request.

Step #2: Determine How Much Candy Will Be Included Within Each Box; Decide How Many Pieces of Candy Each Person Should Get. Before determining a price point, determine how many pieces of candy each person will receive. Consider how many people you anticipate selling candy to. Twelve small-sized pieces of chocolate may generate more revenue than four larger chocolate bars if your objective is to attract as many customers as possible. Also consider using consistent amounts within each box to avoid creating issues with unequal portions among buyers. By consistently packaging a similar amount of candy in each box, the process of packing will move quicker for volunteers and allow for a more accurate accounting of funds generated during the event.

Step #3: Type of Treat Matters. There are different types of candy available depending upon how well they withstand warmer temperatures. For instance, some types of hard candy can withstand warmer environments longer than softer varieties such as chocolate. Mints that are wrapped individually may be easier for children to share than chewy candies. If children are expected to participate in assisting with sales, select candy that is easily separable from other candies. Additionally, candy boxes can be filled with one variety of candy or multiple varieties provided the individual pieces remain organized and are easily counted.

An open box sorts assorted candies beneath instructions for choosing treats that store and share well.

Step #4: Food Label Requirements Must be Carefully Considered. Some candies contain ingredients which are common allergens such as milk, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, or wheat. Include either the manufacturer’s label or list those ingredients where they can be seen/read by prospective purchasers. Never state that a specific treat is safe for someone who has a known food allergy unless you are absolutely certain that the ingredient(s) listed do not pose a problem. Maintaining cleanliness throughout the entire process (hands and surfaces) will enable the group to properly prepare the candy boxes.

Step #5: Test Run. Conducting a trial/test run prior to distributing candy boxes to prospective buyers can assist in preventing problems on distribution day. Prepare all materials including the candy, labels, tape, and completed boxes in a sequence representative of how volunteers will access them during the actual event. Measure how long it takes to complete 10 boxes. In doing so, you can quickly assess if additional support staff members are needed, if additional supplies are required, or if another area/location will be necessary for distribution/packaging.

Step #6: Where & When to Sell: Determine where and when to conduct your candy box fundraiser. Events such as school games, craft fairs, church functions and/or town festivals/centers are excellent places to find the target audience for your organization. Display a clear and descriptive sign listing the cost per box and highlighting the purpose/goal of your fundraiser. Once potential donors understand why they are being asked for financial contributions, even a small box of candy will seem like a significant contribution.

Food Packaging and Fashion

Fashion and food packaging are two unique, but great combinations that offer some great results. Here, we’re going to look at some of the packaging that incorporates fashion into the foods that we love.

First, let’s talk about the Grisbi, which is food packaging, and this is something that a lot of people have for them to enjoy.  This was started by Matilde Vincenzi, which launched special editions for Grisbi biscuits, that are targeted to the fridge counter part of the world, and this is something that’s similar to the Kinder Ferrero products. The variants were made, proposed, and they included lemon, hazelnut, and coconut. The packaging did need to be attractive, faithful, and reflect product freshness, doing so through some illustrations and an icy coat that’s added to the top of this that can be put on there.

There were variants of this product packaging too. One of them includes the Wild variant, which was framed by a leopard print in a more animalistic look. The long treatment of making it almost like a roar color gave it an enticing feeling to it. This also provided poetic license that only the most well-established brands can get together. There was also the subtle vanilla flavor, offering a more refined, detailed palate to an audience demanding of such.

This success also offered some other initiatives that are differentiating, customizable, culminating into a newer, more refined variant of the famous biscuits that were in Italy. This connotation of both elegance with a spicy color and accent to it, offered a payoff titled “passion.”

The dark purple and the pink added to the passion flavors dominate this, with photographs that illustrate a sophisticated, intriguing lace texture to this. The primary audience is females, who are engaged in both emotional, almost palatal sort of spheres, inviting a lot of people into the sins of gluttony and other vices too.

The limited edition types of packaging that came from this were developed from professionals. There was a remarkable vertical box that was highlighted by a significant model that was dressed as a Madonna in a sort of “like a virgin” showcased on the color.

But this wasn’t the first time that this embraced the food industry through the realm of packaging. There was also the Magnum, which was done by Dolce and Gabbana, which was enticing, and enchanting too. The graphics had a sort of typical Sicilian cart that comes with a unique graphic that’s the ideal balance between precious elements using gold, modernity, and even some accents that were vintage within folklore and history. This was a real need for a lot of people inspired by this type of packaging.

Finally, there is the barilla pasta, where a lot of gourmet giants were starting to try this too, using fashion to really bring food packaging to life. One of them was the pink pasta boxes that were used to celebrate the GCDS streetwear, which was done in conjunction to celebrate pride.  This is something that’s not usually seen in the world of food, and packaging that does stand out, screaming from the shelves, giving you a unique feel to it, can be very interesting, and unique too.

Then finally, there was Rummo pasta, where they used special, branded pasta that was a great combination of both the expectations provided, and a very attentive sort of criticism that comes with this, where a lot of people benefited.

So yes, packaging and food are intimately connected, and when you put them both together, you get some of the best packaging there is to offer.

Zero-Waste Packaging Solutions: Seals without Adhesive

There’s now more ways for people to be sustainable. Though we spend a lot of time looking at boxes, it also is important to look at the tape that you use.

Tape is not that good for the environment. From a sustainability standpoint, it was not sustainable in the past. It does not break down, and it tends to be made with oils, which are not only toxic, but also are not good for the environment.

Tape is also not good with being used by automation. So, if you’re looking to automate your facilities, you need to ditch tape.

The final reason is that it does reduce the impact of unboxing experiences. There’s nothing more annoying than if you’re trying to open something and the tap’s layered on so thick that you can’t.

So yes, packaging with too much tape is not going to be fun to navigate, and it is time for you to ditch the tape, for a variety of reasons.

Tape-Free boxes and Packages

There’s tape-free boxes that you can use. Slot and tab boxes are one example. These are boxes that have slots and tabs that you can either press or push in, in order to lock up the box or open it.

There’s also self-locking boxes where, once you push this in, it will lock up the box, so nothing can affect the seal until it gets to the customer.

Finally, you have magnetic seals. Magnets are becoming a lot more popular for zero-waste solutions because magnets tend to be a very useful, easy solution for packaging needs.

Benefits for Fulfillment Centers

Fulfillment centers that ditch tape are going to see a marked increase in productivity and items that go out.

It offers a faster assembly, which of course means that items are put together a whole lot faster, so you can get more product out the door.

It also reduces the need for tools and use of such, so again, faster productivity. And best of all, you’re saving money not having to buy tape dispensers.

Customer Impact

It is much cleaner if you ditch the tape. Think about it, they’ll be able to open the box without having to use something to open it, like a knife or scissors. It’s better for reducing wrap rage, especially if there’s a lot on there.

It also looks better too. you will see that the package isn’t littered with tape.

It also means easier returns.   If something doesn’t fit, or you don’t like it, then you can return it, without having to rip apart the tape and pray that the box stays together.

Overall, zero tape packaging solutions are made with the idea of not just making it faster for facilities, but also good for customers too. and, if you are an eco-friendly brand, ditching the tape is also another perk that people will love too.

Where’s it Catching on?

Some industries are still attached to the tape, and for a good reason, because their packaging needs it.

But, a lot of fashion brands, especially sustainable ones, are ditching the tape. They’re able to give their customers a fun, immersive branding experience that will really shine.

Another is electronics. Lots of electronics benefit from no tape. If you think about it, it makes it easier for customers to get the item and use it, and also will reduce the use of tape on any surfaces which don’t need it.

Finally, there are minimalist brands which, from a sustainability standpoint, should ditch the tape like ages ago, so it’s worthwhile for them.

Qualities of Great Packaging

A good packaging product makes a huge difference in the unboxing of the item, and boosts the experience of the shipping. With so many different factors that go into this, it’s hard for one to determine the ideal packaging solutions for customers and businesses.

If you’re having a hard time figuring out the good criteria for the packaging, then you’re in luck. We have a guide of some of the most important things that go into packaging that’s high quality, in order to make a good decision on the packaging supply, and different options.

It’s simple to Use

This is something that’s simple for you to make. Something that’s easy for you to store and flatten is great, since it’ll be good to hold before shipping out. You also want to make it easier for customers, so that when they get the package, they’re not subjected to wrap rage.

Wrap rage is annoying, and it can be something that makes or breaks a purchase. Poly mailers for instance, are good for small, up to medium sized items that are there. You just have to secure these with a strip.

They’re smaller and they are much easier to utilize than others.

Branded Packaging

Another sign of good packaging is that it’s branded. Unbranded boxes are good for starting out, but you want people to remember. If you do take pride in unboxing, this can be incredibly underwhelming for the customers.

But, branded boxes are a prime way to spark some joy in the customers that are there. They are able to eagerly anticipate what’s inside.

You want to try to create a branded packaging, so that when customers do open this, they’re excited. This also ensure s that the branding stabilizes and is the same for a bit longer too.

Better Protection

Nobody wants a package that’s in pieces. Good packaging needs to look presentable.  This is important, because you want to make sure that nothing gets wrecked. Some suppliers will use bubble mailers.  Some might require more protection. You can find great lists for this type of protection from various places. Compostable or recyclable products are great for keeping everything safe as it goes from point A to point B.

Good Storage

This is something that also is important if you’re running a business in a small place, such as a home or even an office. You want packaging that’s simple for you to store and doesn’t take a ton of space. Packaging that’s easier for you to store is a great sign, as it also means that customers can toss this without feeling like they have to break this down. This is also good if you don’t’ want the warehouse costs that get super expensive. Plus, who wants a bunch of bulky boxes just sitting around like that.

It’s Able to Be sustainable

Finally, you want something eco friendly. Shipping and packaging does use a lot of single-use plastics, and that’s been their main schtick for a bit of time. This is not good for the environment.  Non-biodegradable choices are also good too, especially if you wish to increase the carbon footprint as a main impact from reducing the use of packaging supplies.

Eco friendly packaging is a new thing, and it’s a hit because it’s also a sign that you’re a quality supplier.

A lot of eco-friendly packaging does also offer great ways to sustain costs. You can get so many different packaging’s at a variety of different costs that are quite low too, and that is also why people choose to go with this final aspect of good packaging.

All About Indestructo Boxes

Choosing the ideal box for shipping can pose a challenge, especially for anything that’s smaller. You need something that’ll keep the contents safe while also fitting the budget. This is especially true if you’re shipping out large amounts of items. One way to handle even the smallest of items, is an indestructo box.  They’re a corrugated mailer that offers many different advantages, especially when you look at durability.

They’re also customized in order to fit the product protection, along with different requirements. With a child-resistant type of container, they’re good for prevention of tampering, and made to fit your needs.

They’re Versatile

About as important as the destructibility of this, they’re also versatile, and came in a ton of different types of states, offering the best means for shipping when compared to others.

Whether you plan to ship heavy items, or even machinery such as car parts and technology that’s sensitive, they’ll ensure that they don’t crush, get punctured, and everything stays in there. But it’s more than just product protection. They’re customized for different requirements. For instance, if you need a container that’s child-resistant or FDA compliant boxes, especially for food and such, they offer the next-level safety. They also can handle extremes in temperature, so that if the product’s in there, it’s safe.

The foods We’re Concerned About Going off

We’ve all made the mistake of eating bad food, getting a really bad foodborne illness from this. Whether it’s a confusion due to the sell-by dates, or even eating something that you thought was safe after you freeze it, this can be a bit of a problem.

You might wonder which foods are safe to eat, and which ones aren’t.  you may wonder as well which foods are going to go the quickest. We’re going to go over this here, and also give you more information that you should be mindful of.

Concern about Going quickly

First, let’s go; over the foods that we’re most concerned about going quickly.

At over 22,000 searches, eggs is the highest, followed by chicken, and then milk. Surprisingly after that is wine, then yogurt, bacon, turkey, beef, butter, and lastly almond milk.

This shouldn’t be surprising, as dairy products and meat are going to dominate this.  This is due to the fact that many animal-based foods are very high in terms of risk for foodborne illnesses. There is salmonella, which is very easily contracted from dairy and eggs because of production infection, contamination from other sources, and bad storing and cooking.  Did you know that one in every 25 of these packages of chicken actually have salmonella.  That means that you need to cook chicken so that it’s cooked thoroughly so that you don’t have to worry about this.

Another thing that’s interesting is that meat and dairy free diets actually also created concerns. This is because of almond milk. While it does last a lot longer than cow’s milk, you should always check for any clumping, bad smells, or texture that’s thicker.

What we’re worried about going Off Post expiration

Again, eggs, milk, and yogurt are the three we’re most concerned about when we look at the searches.  Under that is butter, mayonnaise, then mustard, almond milk, bread, tofu, and finally coffee of all things.

Eggs are obvious, as a lot of times people will see the best by date on these cartons.  However, because they do deteriorate a little bit slower, sometimes you can eat these after the fact. In general, eggs have a five week shelf life.  Refrigeration is best for safety, but don’t do this near the fridge door. This is because the moving can cause the temperatures to speed up the breakdown process.

Milk is another one that you should definitely look at. But you also should pay more attention to this. Usually you can have milk a day or two after the expiration date. But, if you do notice a poor smell, a thickness to it, or it’s lumpy, then toss it.

“What we’re Concerned Will Be Bad the Most After the Sell-By Date

We discovered with this one that eggs are still the ones we’re most concerned about. With almost 15K searches every month, the sell-by date is something people look at.

Sell-by dates are more for grocery stores telling them to stop putting the product on the shelves. However, you can have eggs up to five weeks after this date.

If you’re not sure about this, you can actually test eggs. First, fill up a bowl of cold water. Put the egg in there, and then see if the eggs float.  Fresh eggs sink, but floating eggs means that there are bubbles of air inside, and that also indicates rot. If you hear a sloshing sound when you shake the egg, then toss it.  if you can’t determine, just open it and see for yourself the state of it.

Pet Product Packaging Elements to consider

The pet industry is growing. More people are acquiring furry companions of all sorts of shapes and sizes. Some don’t have fur either, but feathers, scales and the like.

Pet food and product packaging does need to be considered.   To have a successful sort of product line, there’s a few things that definitely need to be borne in mind, especially for pet owners of all kinds.

Here, we’ll go over the pet product packaging elements to consider, and also what you need to keep in mind to have a top-level experience that shines!

Functional Designs for Usage

There’s a lot of people that want something similar when choosing pet food or pet litter.

For example, cat owners might want to have it so that they don’t have to haul a huge 50 pound bag to toss the contents in.

In that case, you need functional designs in order to enhance usage, and you should make it so that the packaging is ergonomic.

Some have opted for corrugated boxes rather than plastic, as it has become something important for them to use, and really enhances all of the features of this packaging that you have.

Resealable Baggage

This is especially true for food, because you might not use it all right away.

Most pet food packaging comes in huge boxes because you buy it all at once. However, you might not use it most of the time. You may fill up the pet food and then not have to for a little bit.

Some pet brands have started to use resealable bags because of the ease of usage for this, and many pet owners enjoy that.

Portion control

In the same vein, some pet food companies have started to offer portion control.

Many pet owners try to avoid obesity in pets, and because of this, they will turn to various pet products that offer portion control. It’s great, because it can reduce the overall portions of their food, while also providing enough for pet owners.

Many of these pet food companies will get that, and they will also add a design that will help resonate with the pet owners. A lot of pet owners want something cute and trendy, and many pet food companies are taking advantage of that in their own way.

The Benefits and the Drawbacks of this

Many pet food and product companies are applying these unique changes and designs to their items, and with great results.

When you use this, you enhance the convenience of products, making them easier for you to use.   They are much more user-friendly than they would be otherwise.

In turn, many companies feel like the brand listens to them, and it enhances the loyalty that comes with this, and in turn makes the experience even more magical.

However, there are a few drawbacks that come with this. You want to be sustainable, but some pet companies have run into the challenge. Plastic is good, but it is not sustainable, so they’ve looked for alternative options such as resealable containers, or corrugated packaging.

The other downside is costs. Pet packaging is expensive, and some companies have not factored this in. it in turn can eat up the profits for a lot of companies.

If you’re running into this challenge, then you should contact one of our packaging providers right away. we’ll be able to help you with creating an effective and appealing type of packaging that pet products will shine in.

Your pet product packaging matters, so take care of it today, and give your fur companions something to enjoy.

Operational Costs in Packaging

The cots that are there are important. Obviously, it’s going to take money to make things go around, but knowing these costs will help with reduction of overhead and improving the aspects of such. Here, we’ll go over some of the different ways for you to be proactive in the way that you handle your operational packaging costs, and also to make it simpler for you too.

What Factors Should Co Packers Be aware of When Purchasing

Obviously, when you’re purchasing packaging, there are certain factors that play a huge part of this, and when you design a line of packaging, you need to focus on the raw materials, the staffing and automaton, and also the requirements for the flexibility of this line too.

How to Plan the Line

When planning the line, you want to make sure you do it in a way that’s efficient.  Maximizing the SKUs that one can run is probably the one of utmost importance. This is because you can choose options that are specific to machines, creating effective and quick forms of changeovers that are repeatable each time.

You want to also think about the conveyance design.

Quick and accurate, or even reputable types of changeovers are good for conveying a system, allowing for more efficient startups of the next one of the SKUS on the line.

The process of choosing the correct packaging happens super early, especially when looking at products that customers wish to run and build. You want to look at the different sizes of the bags that they wish to run, along with different operational factors that’ll slow this down.

Identifying all of these applications and the process of sales ensures that the issues get fully mitigated from the start.

Of course, ensuring that the equipment is capable as well for changeovers that are quick is important too. Packaging equipment manufacturers want to have quick turnovers, but some of them aren’t very good, or they have almost no mechanical aspects.

Machines are supposed to change over quickly and brilliantly. They are fully automated too in many cases, so you don’t have to have a maintenance guy in there all the time just to adjust something.

Once the recipe gets programmed, there isn’t much to do in terms of changeover, besides choosing the correct recipe. This automated system handles the changeover aspects for one to use, which is great for the overall success of such.

What to Consider when Automating Processes

Obviously, when you use an automaton, it does drive down some of the costs of labor.

But the reality is that the skills necessary for proper regulation of the facility in order to troubleshoot and maintain this equipment is there instead

Think about the environment that you’re trying to put together.  This is especially true post-pandemic, with more and more people working away from each other, and less manual types of operations.

It’s better in the long haul for many, but there are some unique costs associated with that type of automaton that one has to also look at, and factor in as well.

When you work with co-packers that have been around for a bit, installing new and great software, there are costs for integration and different types of parts. The plant does have to pay for this to upgrade the rest of such.

Putting together the variety of operational costs offers one a better understanding of the types of costs that are there, and furthermore can help those with pants make the correct decisions that’ll ultimately benefit their company by manifold and help them make sound decisions.

The Use of Cosmopak

Cosmopak is a unique experience that started in 20017. With a big desire from companies to grow, a lot of the people have started to pull on the heartstrings of visitors in order to create the perfect mixture between each of the great ingredients.

There is now even more packaging that’s there too, and a lot of packaging is now there to create a remarkable effect.

Remember with the goal of packaging, you want to stand out as much as you can and take the chance to stand out with each of these in a far, even wide sort of spectrum. Customers will provide their testimonials too, which talk about the service, the first testimonials of this, and the trustworthiness of this too. This alone is providing more and more growth, and a chance for both people and business to spread the world.

With more and more trade shows popping up, a lot of people are turning to thee as a way for you to get the most you can out of this and provide you with the means in order to stand out and get the benefits that you want to have.

For a lot of people, packaging is the way to stand out, and whether you’re in the world of beauty, health and wellness, or just in general, there are a lot of important things to consider when you’re looking to improve your overall health and wellness factors.

The best thing for you to do at this point, especially when it comes to packaging, is to go to these tradeshows and see what types of packaging that you can bring to this, and some of the great ways to stand out, including your unique packaging.

The more unique the packaging is, the better it will be, and the happier you’ll be.  Try to look at how you can do this, implementing it, and you’ll see for yourself just what kinds of benefits are there, and what it means for you, and your packaging experience as well too.
